AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT: Computex Unveiling and First Details
AMD will formally introduce its new graphics card, the Radeon RX 9060 XT. Mark May 21st, because that's when the wraps will come off at Computex in Taipei. The event should be a whopper for AMD, with more AI and gaming goodies in the pipeline.
A Glimpse of the Reference Design (But Don't Raise Your Hopes about Buying It)
In addition to the announcement date, AMD provided us with a glimpse of what the reference version of the RX 9060 XT will look like. The collaborative render shows a clean, dual-fan aesthetic. It's an all-too-familiar tale for AMD's reference cards of late – just like the RX 9070 XT, this stunning reference version of the RX 9060 XT won't actually be available on store shelves for immediate buy by consumers.

It looks like AMD might produce a limited number of these reference cards, perhaps for reviewers or in-house use, but the message from the official line is clear: "Artistic Render Not Available for Purchase." So you see where the design is headed, but you'll be looking at custom cards from AMD's partners when it's time to upgrade.
What Can We Learn from the Render.
Even though we can't buy it, the render does provide a couple of important clues. Perhaps most notably, the card appears to have one 8-pin PCI-E power connector. This is a good indication that the power draw of the card (TDP) will be fairly low, likely in the 200W range or lower. Naturally, board companions can push this a bit higher with their special, overclocked versions and may even include a second connector for additional overclocking headroom.
We'll be keeping a close eye on Computex and will fill you in on all the details the moment AMD makes them official. Stay tuned.
