1. Content Credibility & Classification
Articles are organized on Technetbook by product category (such as Smartphones, Laptops, Software, and Gaming, ect...). Standard news, official product launches, and reviews in these categories do not require special tags.
However, any story regarding unannounced products will be categorized under the primary label Leaks & Rumors:
- Credible Leak: Applied to reports verified by at least two independent sources or corroborating technical data.
- Unverified Rumor: Applied to single-source claims, early supply chain chatter, or speculative reports to clearly alert readers.
2. Editorial Review & Accuracy
To maintain accuracy, all articles undergo a thorough editorial review process before publication. Every article is reviewed by a senior editor to ensure factual consistency.
Reports based on forecasts, leaks, or industry speculation undergo rigorous cross referencing against secondary sources, supply chain indicators, and historical pattern analysis to establish context and probability before publication.
3. Source Confidentiality & Protection
Confidentiality is essential to our reporting. We strictly adhere to standard journalistic definitions to protect sources and clarify attribution:
- On the Record: Information can be published, quoted, and attributed directly with the source's full name and title.
- On Background: Information can be published, but the source's name is withheld. A generic descriptor agreed upon by both parties (e.g., "a senior supply chain analyst, industry insider, ect...") will be used.
- Off the Record: Information is provided strictly for context and background. It cannot be published, quoted, or attributed in any form.
Any unauthorized breach of source confidentiality is strictly prohibited and subject to immediate disciplinary action.
4. Journalistic Ethics, Transparency & Disclosures
Our editorial team is dedicated to ethical journalism, balancing truth-seeking with the responsibility to minimize harm and ensure accuracy. Writers and editors must maintain strict independence:
- Financial Interest Disclosures: Writers must disclose any personal financial investments, stock ownership, or material interest in companies covered. Disclosures must be clearly stated in an italicized note at the bottom of the article prior to publication.
- Insider Trading Policy: Staff and contributors are strictly prohibited from trading equities, securities, or financial instruments based on non-public information obtained during their reporting.
- Conflicts of Interest: Any other potential conflict of interest must be transparently declared within the body or foot of the article.
5. Corrections, Content Management
If an article contains a factual error, we will issue a correction or retraction promptly. Corrections will be clearly noted at the top of the article with a timestamp of the update.
Minor updates that add new details without altering the original meaning of the story may be added without a separate correction notice.
Content may be removed or updated if it infringes on intellectual property rights or upon receipt of a valid Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) request.
