Anker Unveils Smart Display Charger Lite: A Compact Powerhouse
Anker, a name many of us trust for charging gear, has just unveiled a new gadget in China called the Smart Display Charger Lite (also known by its model number, A121B). Think of it as the younger, more nimble sibling to their beefier 140W Laptop Charger that hit the global scene earlier in 2025.
What Makes the 'Lite' Version Tick
So what then of this "Lite" version, then. Well, it's designed to be more portable without compromising too much on power. Here's a quick rundown:
- Triple Threat Charging: It comes with two USB-C ports and a USB-A port, enabling you to charge three devices simultaneously. That's one fewer port than its bigger brother, but still plenty for most people on the move.
- Smart Power Delivery: Any of the USB-C ports is able to deliver a stable 100W. The really nice thing about it is the way it manages power when both USB-C ports are in use. The charger dynamically splits the 100W based on what's plugged in. Your laptop might get 70W and your phone get a sip of 30W, or your laptop might get 95W if your headphones need only 5W.
- Fast Charging Friendly: It harmonizes with a variety of fast charging standards, including PPS, PD 3.0, QC, and UFCS, so your compatible devices will charge rapidly.
Watching Over Your Charge (and More)
As with the earlier model, there's a handy small onboard display here. This will show the charge level of your devices or alert you if the charger is overheating – a nice little reassurance that all is well.
Travelers will enjoy the folding pins, which are a cinch to stow. It is available in light or dark gray.
Smaller and Lighter: The Portability Factor
Anker informs us that this new accessory measures a whoppung 30% shorter than the old 140W one. We are dealing with dimensions of roughly 69 x 55 x 34 mm (around 2.7 x 2.2 x 1.3 inches). It also weighs less at around 205 grams (or 0.45 lbs), which is a reduction from the 275 grams (0.60 lbs) of the original. Every ounce helps when you want your bag to be light.
Price and Will We See It Stateside
The Anker Smart Display Charger Lite will retail at CNY 249, that is, about $35 USD, in China. If this handy little charger will find its way to the US and other nations has not been spoken of by Anker yet. We'll just have to wait and see.
