TECNO SPARK 40 Pro+ to Debut New MediaTek Helio G200 Chip
The mobile processor arena just gained a new player in the MediaTek Helio G200. TECNO is not wasting any time in putting it into practice. They've just issued a statement that their new SPARK 40 Pro+ smartphone will be the first smartphone to show the world what this new chip can do. This smartphone will be the flagship of their SPARK 40 lineup.
Understanding the Helio G200 Processor
MediaTek built this chip with a state-of-the-art 6nm process, which is great news for efficiency. Behind the scenes, it has eight processing cores to handle tasks:
- Two high-performance Cortex-A76 cores running at 2.2 GHz for demanding work.
- Six power-conscious Cortex-A55 cores running at 2.0 GHz for everyday tasks.
What does that translate to for you. Well, in benchmark tests like AnTuTu, this processor scores about 470,000. That translates to faster app response, more fluid multitasking when you have multiple apps open, and better battery life than what you'll find in much of what you'll find in entry-level phones.
Beyond Just Speed: Graphics and Connection
Gaming and graphics also benefit from an improved Mali-G57 MC2 graphics processor running at 1.1 GHz. TECNO is also adding its own magic software wizardry to enable rendering at a crisp 1.5K resolution. This will make games and even the general phone interface look sharper and neater.
Stay connected is also getting an upgrade. The Helio G200 comes with a improved modem and DCSAR technology. In this, the plan is to give you a more stable connection even when you're in low signal areas – super convenient.
What to Expect from the SPARK 40 Series
TECNO seems to believe that their SPARK 40 series, led by the Pro+, will find that sweet spot. They believe combining this new Helio G200 processor with clever AI features and a unique look will deliver high value for money.
The international roll-out of the TECNO SPARK 40 smartphones is due next month.
