AMD has just dropped Adrenalin Software 25.6.1 and with it comes very important update.
Perhaps the star of the show for many will be actual and full-blown support for the rookie Radeon RX 9060 XT GPU. This card, just straight from the market, now joins its bigger sibling, the RX 9070 series, in being fully optimized by the latest Adrenalin software. So if you just picked up an RX 9060 XT, you can expect even more compatibility and control over your piece of new hardware.
And that is not all concerning hardware. This update is also good for the Radeon AI Pro R9700. Built on RDNA 4 architecture, this one is a monster workstation GPU with a respectable 32GB of GDDR6 memory – something serious for the pros
To keep score, the Radeon RX 9060 XT is AMDs new NAVI 44 offering, with an 8GB and 16GB option. However, while the new software aims for smooth sailing, AMD is being candid about a couple of known hiccups. These include some occasional crash issues in titles like Marvels Spider-Man 2 (with Ray Tracing on) and The Last of Us Part 1. The good news is that the Onimusha 2 Samurai's Destiny Remaster gets a clean slate with this driver.
The other big news, also, is the greatly swelled list of supported games for FSR 4. AMDs FidelityFX Super Resolution 4 is getting a lot more love, thanks to 14 new titles added to the list. That brings the total to over 55 games supporting FSR 4
And there are more on the way-A pattern of another 10 games will receive FSR 4 support in updates to come, including some highly-anticipated ones such as Crimson Desert, Like a Dragon Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, and Mecha Break, AMD has given us a glimpse
Here are the newest additions you can enjoy FSR 4 with right now:
- Deadzone Rogue
- F1 25
- Frostpunk 2
- Legacy Steel & Sorcery
- Lords of the Fallen
- Planetaries
- QANGA
- Rem Survival
- Runescape Dragonwilds
- Star Wars Outlaws
- Steel Seed
- Stellar Blade
- Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O
- Wild Assault
Well, while NVIDIA DLSS 4 holds a more considerable library of over 125 games, AMD is working hard to bridge that gap. It is, however, worth noting that FSR 4 is RDNA 4 exclusive for now. Thus, only the owners of the RX 9070 series and the new RX 9060 XT will be able to turn on the latest upscaling gimmick by AMD on those supported games.
