Matrox, a known name in graphics, is back with a new high-end graphics card: the LUMA Pro A380 Octal. This card is made to run big, multi-screen setups, using two Intel Arc GPUs to manage up to eight 5K screens in perfect sync.

The LUMA Pro A380 Octal works best in places like big video walls and control rooms where clear, sharp visuals are key. From just one PCIe slot, it can power either eight 5K displays or four 8K displays in full sync.

At its heart, the card has two Intel Arc A380E GPUs, and 12GB of GDDR6 memory. It uses 130 watts of power, has active cooling, and fits in a small, one-slot PCIe 4.0 x16 setup. Matrox aims this card at pros in AV integration, display wall setup, and broadcasting, who need solid performance and top quality.

Main Features and Links

  • Has eight Mini DisplayPort 2.0 outputs, with high speed and supports 36-bit color.
  • Works with big graphics APIs like DirectX 12 Ultimate, Vulkan 1.3, OpenGL 4.6, and OpenCL 3.0.
  • Supports HDR output, VESA Display Stream Compression (DSC), Adaptive Sync, and HDCP 2.3.
  • Sends out multi-channel digital sound through four ports.
  • Lets you link two A380 Octal cards for bigger synced display setups.
  • Developers can use Matrox’s PowerDesk software and Mura Developer Tools to make custom control apps.

Matrox will also launch a single-GPU model, the LUMA Pro A380 Quad. This one has one Intel Arc A380E GPU, 6GB of memory, and four full-size DisplayPort connectors. With less power needed and a simpler setup, the Quad fits less complex needs but still gives pro reliability, just with four outputs instead of eight.

While Matrox is known for big display projects like the Las Vegas Sphere, they have not yet shared specific prices or dates for the LUMA Pro A380 Octal and Quad. Both cards are marked as "coming soon."
