Exciting as it gets, the launch of a new console is all tech blogger Zach Nelson chose to answer a question, really else on his YouTube channel just how much can the Nintendo Switch 2 hold up under abuse Those removable magnetic controllers and that kickstand make you think it's a little delicate; well, the results are in, and they're quite interesting
Let's talk about that screen first. With a bit of sharp-pokery going to its surface layer, scratches seem to occur. Nelson deduces that it might be a particular kind of designed plastic that stops smashing the screen, which is just an excellent strategy. But here's the real shocker the thing went in flames for ten seconds and pretty much escaped without any lasting visible damage. The area heated up, blackened for a time, but once cool, back to business as usual. Really impressive.
Body and Buttons Scratches Happen, but Labels Stay Put
The main body of the Switch 2 and the Joy-Con controllers is made out of plastic - so, as you would expect, an ordinary utility knife can make a mark on it. No big surprises here. However, Nintendo sonically fused clever button labels, meaning they won't rub off during an intense gaming session, with "letter symbols" permanently housed in there.
What did I say about the kickstand Metal, and like most other metals, goes under knife scratches. Pretty standard stuff again.
One of the coolest findings was about how the Joy-Cons connect. The toy is built tough around that inlet to which the two slide into the console. Even if someone would try to break them off by force rather than simply taking them off, the port would withstand that kind of anguish on the inside. Interestingly, however, it is possible to separate them if you yank hard enough; no unlock button needed. That is pretty cool.
What is really the final conclusion from Zach Nelson's video A neat little console- the Nintendo Switch 2 will probably become a little scratched up along the way in its cosmetic battles scratches result from almost every day use. However, when it comes to genuinely breaking or inflicting severe internal damage, it seems that Nintendo has engineered this small console into quite a tough cookie, proving to be able to withstand far more than it would seem at first.
