Capcom just shared some cool news their hit game, Street Fighter 6, has now sold over 5 million copies all around the world. They told everyone this big news on their official X (used to be Twitter) page.

This big number comes as the game is about to hit its second year, having made its first show on June 2, 2023. Capcom was happy and said, "Street Fighter 6 has now sold over 5 million copies What a cool way to mark our 2nd year Thanks to all our fans across the globe and to all the new fans to come"

This big win shows how well Capcom has been doing these last few years. It's also key to note that Street Fighter 6 hit 4 million sales just under a year ago, keeping a good pace of sales.

Hitting 5 million sales in just two years puts Street Fighter 6 in a strong place. It might even become the top-selling game in the Street Fighter series. Right now, Street Fighter 5 holds that spot with over 7 million copies sold since 2016. By its third year, Street Fighter 6 could take the lead.

In more Street Fighter 6 news, Capcom has just told us about the new characters coming in Year 3. Players can get excited for

  • Sagat (Summer 2025)
  • C. Viper (Fall 2025)
  • Alex (Early Spring 2026)
