This Vivo smartphone has finally unveiled its latest contender in the Y300c. This phone intends to provide an ideal experience without costing a fortune, and comes in a variety of colors to suit a personality as well.

The Vivo Y300c is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. What does this mean. Basically, it adds 5G connectivity, thus allowing for better download and streaming speeds wherever there is 5G coverage. It is not the fastest processor in the world, but it is quick enough for most routine daily tasks.

As for memory and storage options, Vivo has thrown in a good amount of RAM – 12GB to be exact. You could then opt for either one of the two internal storage options: a 256GB or a much roomier 512GB, depending obviously on the amount of apps, photos, and videos you are carrying.

The Y300c has a 6.77-inch AMOLED panel which means vibrant colors and blacks. The resolution is cutting-sharp at 2392 x 1080 pixels, and it has a 120Hz refresh rate. A high refresh rate like this gives smoother scrolling and animations. Moreover, the sampling rate of the touchscreen can jump up to 300Hz, quite handy for gamers wanting super-fast touch response at their fingertips.

Among the coolest things here is the battery Y300c, with a robust 6,500mAh battery- enough to keep you running throughout the day. When you'd like to plug it in, it should support 44-watt fast charging-speeding up how long you are tied to the wall. In a nifty little add-on, it even supports reverse charging to top up the batteries in your wireless headphones or other accessories using the Y300c.

In terms of photography, the primary camera at the back comes with a 50-megapixel sensor. There is also a 2-megapixel lens, which does the magic in terms of bokeh effects; where the subject is clear and the background nicely blur. A frontal 8-megapixel camera is also on board for selfies and video calls.

The Vivo Y300c also enables dual SIM use, a handy feature for keeping personal and work numbers separate, or for travel purposes. As of now, the smartphone is available in China for a price equivalent to around $195. It does not yet seem to be confirmed whether it'll make an appearance on other continents, however Vivo has not officially announced anything regarding it just yet.
