AIDA64 Now Ready for AMD's New Zen 6 CPUs
The new firm build of AIDA64 Extreme, version 7.700.7500, now shows early help for the soon-to-come AMD Zen 6 CPU design. This upgrade makes clear past early trial runs and says that work is on to get ready for AMD's next CPUs.
What This Means for Zen 6
AIDA64 now lists all of Zen 6, covering desktop, mobile, and server CPUs. Though no set date is given, seeing AIDA64's new tools point to a launch about a year away. Such timing fits with past news, putting Zen 6's start in 2026, likely later in the year.
Details on Zen 6 (From What We Know Now)
The full notes on Zen 6 are still not out, but some info has come up through news and clear facts:
- Desktop: News hints Zen 6 desktop CPUs might have up to 12 cores in one CCD, with top models going up to 32 cores.
- Mobile: Named "Medusa Point," the mobile group may use a bigger FP10 socket and add RDNA 3.5 graphics.
- Server (EPYC Venice): AMD says its EPYC Venice server CPUs will have up to 256 cores with Zen 6c forms (up to 16 CCDs). Normal Zen 6 server parts could have up to 96 cores (up to 8 CCDs).
Intel Wildcat Lake Also Gets Help in Update
The update to AIDA64 Extreme 7.700.7500 isn't just for AMD. It also starts early help for Intel's Wildcat Lake CPUs. This set of CPUs follows the low-power Alder Lake-N, meant for stuff like laptops and small PCs. So far, only a little is known about Wildcat Lake.
