ASUS Support Page Leaks New AMD Ryzen 9000 Processors

The new AMD Ryzen 9000 series CPUs, shown by an ASUS CPU support list, are now out. The leak gives us a look at the Ryzen 7 9700F, the first Zen 5 desktop processor with no built-in graphics, along with three new PRO series models for big businesses.

Ryzen 7 9700F A New Zen 5 CPU for Discrete Graphics

The Ryzen 7 9700F builds on the Ryzen 7 9700X but does not have an integrated graphics unit. This means one must have their own graphics card to display images. This processor is a good deal for gamers and builders who want to use their own GPU.

Details for the Ryzen 7 9700F are:

  • Cores/Threads: 8 Cores / 16 Threads
  • Base Clock: 3.8 GHz
  • L3 Cache: 32 MB
  • TDP: 65W

Ryzen PRO 9000 Series for Business Use

The ASUS list also shows three new chips from the coming Ryzen PRO 9000 series. These are the next step after the PRO 7000 series and aim at the simpler side of the business market with features for work.

The known Ryzen PRO 9000 models include:

  • Ryzen PRO 9 9945:
    • Cores/Threads: 12 Cores / 24 Threads
    • Base Clock: 3.4 GHz
    • L3 Cache: 64 MB
    • TDP: 65W
  • Ryzen PRO 7 9745:
    • Cores/Threads: 8 Cores / 16 Threads
    • Base Clock: 3.8 GHz
    • L3 Cache: 32 MB
    • TDP: 65W
  • Ryzen PRO 5 9645:
    • Cores/Threads: 6 Cores / 12 Threads
    • Base Clock: 3.9 GHz
    • L3 Cache: 32 MB
    • TDP: 65W

Performance and Power Consumption Insights

The specs show that the Ryzen PRO 7 9745 is much like the new Ryzen 7 9700F. Also, the 12-core Ryzen PRO 9 9945 uses only 65W TDP, less than the 120W TDP of its home-use twin, the Ryzen 9 9900X, but it also runs at a slower speed.

Though AMD hasn't made an official call on these processors yet, their presence on a big brand's support list hints at a soon reveal.
