GMKtec's K12 Mini PC is out now, with the Ryzen 7 H 255 and OCuLink
GMKtec just put out the K12, a new mini PC that does not cost too much. It has AMD's Ryzen 7 H 255 APU. It has first shown up in China and costs CNY 2,099 (about $293). The PC comes with USB4 and OCuLink ports for fast link-ups.
Main Power and Pictures
The heart of the K12 is the AMD Ryzen 7 H 255. This part is only in China. It is from the Hawk Point set. It has 8 Zen 4 cores and can work at up to 70 watts.
For pictures, the built-in Radeon 780M iGPU can run many new big games on low to mid visual levels. This makes it good for work and some gaming.
Links and Adding More
A big point about the GMKtec K12 is that it connects very well. It has fast, new ports:
- eGPU Help: It has one USB4 and one OCuLink port. This lets users hook up an outside GPU to make games run better.
- Screen Links: It has one HDMI 2.1 and one DisplayPort 2.1 port, and can show on up to four screens.
- Web: It has two 2.5G Ethernet ports and WiFi 6E for quick wired and wireless web.
- Memory: It can use up to 128 GB of DDR5 RAM at 5600 MHz.
- Store Room: It has three PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots, letting you store up to 24 TB.
Keeping It Cool and More
To keep it cool, GMKtec has made a "new VC heat spreader design" with 3D air inlets. The fan adjusts how fast it spins based on how much work the system has.
The K12 also gives users three ways to make it run.
Cost and How to Get It
The basic GMK K12 costs CNY 2,099 (~$299) in China. GMKtec plans to sell this cheap mini PC all over the world soon. It might have the non-H Ryzen 7 255 there.
