China's Lisuan G100 GPU Shows Strong Performance Against NVIDIA

China's new Lisuan G100 GPU is now a strong match for NVIDIA's top line in fresh test scores. China has been hard at work making its own GPUs that can keep up with the best. The G100 from Lisuan Technology has just shown up in early tests, and it's doing as well as the big names from NVIDIA. This is a big step up for the tech work in that country.

OpenCL Test Scores

In a new OpenCL run on Geekbench, the G100, set with an AMD Ryzen 5 7600 CPU, got a score of 111,290. This puts it ahead of NVIDIA's liked GeForce RTX 4060, and just a bit behind the GeForce RTX 5060. This shows it could be great for top gaming.

Here are more scores:

  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti: 139,241
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti: 129,826
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060: 120,916
  • Lisuan G100: 111,290
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060: 101,028
  • AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT: 87,653

More on the Lisuan G100

These test scores tell us a lot about the G100:

  • VRAM: 12GB (high chance it's GDDR6)
  • Compute Units: 48 CUs
  • Max Speed: 2000 MHz
  • Making Process: Said to be built on a 6nm line, likely by a local place like SMIC.

A Big Leap in Performance

This high level of work is much better than before for the G100. Earlier tests had it doing worse than the old NVIDIA GTX 660 Ti. The new data hints at big steps up, especially in making the drivers better. This has often been a big roadblock for new GPU makers.

The Lisuan G100 isn't out for sale yet, but this is the first time a GPU from China has shown it can stand up to the new main GPUs. If it gets to market well, it could change the game for GPUs you can buy.
