Nothing Headphone (1) Announced with KEF-Tuned Sound and Innovative Controls
The Nothing Headphone (1) has just been shown off with KEF-tuned sound and cool new ways to control it. Nothing now joins the big game in the over-ear headphone area with this fresh release, the Nothing Headphone (1). This new item has the brand’s clear style, some cool control buttons, and sound tuning done by the top sound firm, KEF.
Shape and Physical Touches
The Headphone (1) is made with a see-through cover on the outside of the ear parts, and a metal frame holds it all. For ease, it has soft pads from a oil-fight stuff. What sets it apart are its clear physical buttons, not touchpads:
- Voice Aid Button: A single button on the right side starts a voice aid or can be set for other uses, like ‘Channel Hop’ to move between audio apps.
- Roller Button: A wheel on the side changes sound levels. One tap stops or plays music, and a long press shifts ANC modes.
- Paddle Control: This different handle lets you skip music, pick up calls, or search in a song with a long press.
- Power Switch: A switch at the bottom turns them on or off.
Sound Play and KEF Team-Up
This is the first item from Nothing's link with KEF. The teamwork uses KEF's sound skills to shape the made 40mm sound parts. The headphones aim to give full, real sound in all ways.
- Parts: Made 40mm sound parts.
- Sound Levels: 20Hz - 40KHz.
- Top Res Help: OK’d for Hi-Res sound (24-bit/96kHz), with LDAC, USB-C audio, and a 3.5mm plug.
- Sound Block: Good hybrid Active Sound Block (ANC) deals with up to 42dB of noise, plus a See-Through Mode.
- More Sound Bits: Has room sound with head moves and an adj bass boost piece.
- Call Levels: Four mics use AI-driven Clear Voice tech for clear calls.
Power, Links, and the Nothing X App
The Headphone (1) gives up to 35 hours of use with ANC and goes to 80 hours with ANC off. It powers up with USB-C. For easy link, the headphones work with Fast Pair on Android and Swift Pair on Windows.
All the touches and settings are run by the Nothing X app. The app has a good 8-band EQ for sound tweaks and lets users set button controls. It also works with the Nothing Phone (3)'s Essential Space for things like voice notes or AI help.
