Nothing Phone (3) Gets 3.5 OS Update With Major Upgrades
The new 3.5 Update for the Nothing Phone (3) is out now. It's being released in parts. This update, with the build number V3.5-250711-2047, adds new stuff and makes the phone work better in key ways.
Changes to the Glyph Interface
The well-known Glyph Interface has some new updates:
- Caller ID: Press and hold the Glyph button when on a call to see the name or number.
- Important Alerts: You can set preset or your own icons for these alerts.
- New Ringtones: The phone can make new ringtones, with fancy lights and random buzz patterns.
- More Stable: The look is better, the Glyph Toys work better, and the Glyph button doesn't go off by accident as much.
New 'Flip to Record' in Essential Space
The Essential Space now has a new trick—Flip to Record. Flip the phone face down and hold the Essential Key to start a voice note. It saves on its own and puts it in a to-do list for meetings.
Camera and Screen Better
The main parts of the camera and screen are better now:
- Camera: The front and back HDR, Night Mode, and quick shots are better, giving clearer and more balanced pictures.
- Video: HDR video is better, making light look more real.
- Improved Display: The screen shows high range content better, smoothly moving from light to dark.
Better Gaming and Speed
This update makes the phone faster and better for use:
- Gaming Speed: A famous battle game now runs at 120 frames per second.
- Wi-Fi Speed: Less delay when gaming on Wi-Fi.
- Pocket Mode: This mode now stops more accidents when the phone's in your pocket.
- Private Choices: You can pick a new main gallery app in Private Space.
Audio, Charging, and Fixes
This update also fixes a few problems:
- A sound problem when you turn music’s spatial audio on or off is fixed.
- Charging is now faster and more steady.
- A wrong battery level showing after a charge is now right.
- The whole system's speed and power use are better.
