Nothing Phone (3) Series Concluded CEO Carl Pei Ends Speculation
Nothing's CEO Carl Pei has now said that the Phone (3) series is done. He did so in a post on X, ending all talk of a future Pro, Plus, or Ultra model of their new main smartphone.
What This News Means
In his post, Pei showed pics of the three Nothing phones that came out in 2025, with words saying, "the 3 series family is done." Most see this as a clear sign that no more models will join the Phone (3) line, killing the hope for a more high-power model with top chips like the Snapdragon 8 Elite or Dimensity 9400+.
All of Nothing's 2025 Goods
This move fits with Nothing's plan for 2025, which already has different types of models:
- CMF Phone (2) Pro: Made for low-cost needs at $279.
- Nothing Phone (3a): Hits the mid-level market at $379.
- Nothing Phone (3a) Pro: Aims for upper mid-range at $459.
- Nothing Phone (3): Goes for the high-end group with a $799 start price.
What's Next for Nothing in 2025
Even with the Phone (3) series over, Nothing has more plans for the year. Here's what's coming:
- Phone (3a) Community Edition: Set to come out at year-end, this model will keep the same tech as the Phone (3a) but will sport a new look, unique UI, gear, and box made by winners of a community contest.
- New Phone (3) Colors: Bringing out new colors for the Nothing Phone (3), which now you can only find in black and white, hasn't been taken off the table.
So, while a high-end Phone (3) Pro won't happen, Nothing plans to focus on its full range and community-driven works for the rest of the year.
