New Review OPPO K13 Turbo Pro Gaming Gets Cool Surprises

Fresh reviews for the new OPPO K13 Turbo Pro phone are up, and they show how it does on games. The phone was put up against the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, which costs about the same and has similar parts.

What's Different Inside

The OPPO K13 Turbo Pro and the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro both use the strong Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip. What sets them apart is how they cool down: the OPPO has a tiny, active cooler inside, while the Redmi uses a normal vapor setup.

How They Did on Genshin Impact Almost the Same

After playing Genshin Impact for 30 minutes, both phones did almost the same. The OPPO phone had about 59.7 frames per second, and the Redmi phone did a bit better with 59.9. Both got as hot as 45.7 degrees at their warmest.

Honkai Star Rail Brings a Twist

Testing Honkai: Star Rail on the OPPO phone gave some cool surprises about its active cooler:

  • Cooler OFF: The phone hit 59 fps, with the heat going up to 49.5 degrees.
  • Cooler ON: Frames dropped a bit to 58.7 fps, but it did cool down to 46 degrees.

It was odd to see the cooler on made it run a bit slower, even if it did keep it cooler. More tests, even on other days, showed the same thing.

End Thoughts Does It Need Tweaks

Right now, it looks like the software for the OPPO isn't making the most of its cooler. Later updates from OPPO might need to tweak this to let the phone run faster but still stay cool.
