Xbox PC App Now Has 'Stream Your Own Game' Feature

Microsoft just rolled out an update for the Xbox PC app that adds the 'Stream Your Own Game' feature. This tool first showed up on Xbox consoles in November 2024. It lets users play their bought games right on their PC.

How Streaming Works and What You Need

The feature uses the Xbox Cloud Gaming setup. There are two key things you need:

  • You must have an active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription.
  • This service is open only in the 28 places where Xbox Cloud Gaming works right now.

Games You Can Stream

As of now, over 250 games are set to work with this feature. The collection has many big and new games. Here are a few of them:

  • Baldur's Gate 3
  • Cyberpunk 2077
  • Hogwarts Legacy
  • Lies of P
  • Star Wars Outlaws
  • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

More New Stuff in the Xbox PC App

The update also brings two other fresh things:

  • Cross-Device Play History: Xbox Insiders can now check their play history on all their stuff, like consoles and the PC app.
  • Rewards Tracking: The app now helps you keep track of how close you are to getting rewards as you play.
