ASUS Puts Out New ROG Strix Two-Mode WOLED Gaming Screens

ASUS just put out two new top WOLED gaming screens, the ROG Strix XG32UCWMG and XG32UCWG. These are the first 4K WOLED screens in the world to have a "two-mode" setup, letting users swap between 4K and FHD with one move.

The Two-Mode WOLED Plus Side

The big thing about these screens is they can match different gaming needs. Users can pick a high-res 4K mode for deep single-player games or go for a quick-refresh FHD mode for fast, play-to-win games. The WOLED panels give dark black shades and bright colors, made better by a TrueBlack Glossy layer that keeps black deep while cutting down on shine.

Model Specs XG32UCWMG vs XG32UCWG

Both screens have a 31.5-inch size, but aim for different uses.

ROG Strix XG32UCWMG The Top Performance Choice

Two-Mode Performance:

  • 4K (3840x2160) up to 240Hz
  • FHD (1920x1080) up to 480Hz

This one is made for gamers who chase the top refresh rates at both views.

ROG Strix XG32UCWG The Easy Choice

Two-Mode Performance:

  • 4K (3840x2160) up to 165Hz
  • FHD (1920x1080) up to 330Hz

This screen is known for its fine color truth (Delta E < 2) and real 10-bit color, giving high picture truth.

Looks and Set-up Both Same

The XG32UCWMG and XG32UCWG look the same with slim edges and stands that are easy to move. ASUS says they take up 45% less room than past models, saving space but keeping easy to shift. Other shared things include:

  • Auto KVM Switch: Lets you swap fast between two hooked-up tools using one keyboard and mouse.
  • Software: The DisplayWidget Center gives a one-stop place to tweak screen setups.
  • Ways to Connect: Has HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 ports, a USB-C port with DP Alt Mode, and a three-port USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A hub.

Price and When You Can Get Them

ASUS hasn't put out the prices for the ROG Strix XG32UCWMG or XG32UCWG yet. They plan to tell the prices soon.
