Battlefield 6 Officially Admits It Has Battle Royale Mode
Confirming the long-theorized Battle Royale mode, the team developing Battlefield 6 has set this week to commence testing on the Battlefield Labs platform. The goal is to add core Battlefield elements like class-based fun and extensive destruction into the popular game mode.
Core Features Battlefield Twist on Battle Royale
This mode contains features that would uniquely define it from other games in the genre.
Large-Scale Destruction and Vehicles
Environmental destruction is perhaps the most important differentiator, whether it includes pathways opened up through walls or toppled buildings. This specific map is not devoid of tactical points that are interestingly designed for the game. Players will find typical common vehicles to cross the area while they will eventually unlock much more advantageous armored vehicles for combined arms gameplay.
Class-Based Gameplay and Leveling
Prior to the match, squads will select a set of classes that are not interchangeable during the match. Each class will start with two default gadgets, which, during match play, may be leveled up by getting XP from defeating opponents or accomplishing missions. Leveling up will open the door to new traits, like the Assault class with the ability to equip armor plates faster.
The Deadly Fire Ring
Battlefield's version of the shrinking circle is a "fire ring" that instantly kills any player it touches. This creates a need for constant repositioning and prevents players from utilizing the closing zone for flanking maneuvers-a frequent tactic in other BR games wherein the circle merely inflicts gradual damage.
What Happens in a Match Loot, Missions, and Squad Play
The initial beta tests will support up to 100 players in squads of four. Communication tools include text chat, VoIP, and ping systems.
Loot and Gear Progression
There are five rarity tiers of weapons and accessories, gadgets, armors, and custom weapon drops. Ways to obtain loot: General and class crates, armored trucks, other players, or a reward for mission achievements.
In Match Missions
Squads will have dynamic assignments like cache unlocking or target destruction. Completing a mission will airdrop valuable rewards, such as a weapons cache or a vehicle key. This creates a hotspot since airdropped loot can be intercepted by other squads.
