ASRock Widens Product Range with Fanless Intel Core Ultra Mini-PCs

ASRock has refurbished its portfolio to include two silent mini-PCs designed in cases of radiator-style for passive cooling. The units are built with powerful Intel Core Ultra processors and a vast memory capacity for heavy computing applications that require the utmost noise control.

Performance and specifications

The new industrial mini-PCs are designed to run under heavy loads without active fans. Internal key specs include

  • Processors: The iBOX-255 model employs the Intel Core Ultra 7 255H. The second variant comes with Intel Core Ultra 5 225H.
  • Memory: Both systems support up to 96 GB DDR5-6400 RAM through two SO-DIMM slots.
  • Storage: The M.2 (PCIe 4.0 x4) slot is provided for high-speed SSD installation.
  • Cooling: The metal case serves as a big radiator and, thus, transfers the heat efficiently without the assistance of any noisy fans.

  • Display output: Support for up to four monitors via dual HDMI 2.1 and two USB-C ports with DisplayPort Alt Mode.
  • USB ports: Five USB-A ports, various revisions, for general-purpose peripheral support.
  • Networking: Dual 2.5 Gbps Ethernet connectivity.
  • Legacy: One COM port for industrial machines.

Design and Mounting

The rugged enclosure features a versatile design. Built-in VESA mount compatibility allows the unit to be attached to the back of the monitor, saving valuable desk space.
