AyaNeo Introduces the Pocket Vert, a Portable Gaming Console
AyaNeo has now introduced the Pocket Vert, a portable gaming console that has a nostalgic, GameBoy-like design but is powered by modern hardware. According to the company, the device is meant to provide a high-performance retro gaming experience and packed into a robust metal chassis.
Key Hardware Specifications
Pocket Vert is built on a small yet powerful set of features:
- Display: 3.5" IPS at a sharp 1600x1440 resolution (615 ppi) and maximum brightness of 450 nits.
- Battery: A big, 6000 mAh battery to allow it to run longer before needing a recharge.
- Audio: The console has two stereo speakers.
- Construction: Full metal body with measurements of 86.4 × 143 × 20.5 mm.
Controls and Software Features
The Pocket Vert has a very interesting control scheme. It has a regular D-Pad, ABXY game buttons, and function keys (SE, ST, AYA) along the bottom. Interestingly, a touchpad is hidden under the surface of the front panel and can also work as an analog stick.
The console is operated with a custom firmware that supports button remapping and emulation of consoles, along with an AI-based translation program.
Availability and Pricing
The AyaNeo Pocket Vert will hit the market in three colors: black, white, and red. More details about the processor and many other specifications, including the final price and official launch date, are unavailable from the manufacturer at this point.
