Elden Ring Nightreign's Forsaken Hollows DLC Is Out on December 4
FromSoftware, on this day, announced its new DLC for the co-op action-survival game Elden Ring Nightreign called The Forsaken Hollows. It launches December 4 for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 and brings new playable characters and bosses.
What Are the Changes for The Forsaken Hollows DLC?
The expansion builds on the heart of the 3-player co-op mechanics while extending the area for players to explore and perfect.
New Playable Characters: The Scholar and The Undertaker
Two new Nightfarers will enter the fray:
- Scholar: High in arcane levels, he gets powerful advantages by observing the battlefield.
- Undertaker: A warrior with high strength and faith, the focus is on quickly dealing with the enemies.
New Threats in a New Location
An extra zone the Forsaken Hollows introduces is The Great Hollow deep down Limveld. This zone is described as a giant cavity that houses ancient ruins, sacred towers, and crystals exuding miasma that drains life. Within this new zone, players will now be pitted against two formidable new boss challenges.
Pre-Purchase Bonus and Editions
Anyone pre-purchasing The Forsaken Hollows DLC by December 3 will get digital art and a mini soundtrack, which are bonuses that were also provided for the Deluxe Edition and Deluxe Upgrade Pack of the game.
Important Purchase Information
Several important details regarding the new DLC were provided by FromSoftware for players to keep in mind:
- You will require the base game, Elden Ring Nightreign, to be able to use The Forsaken Hollows.
- DLC has been included in the Collector's and Deluxe Editions of the game, so buyers of these editions should refrain from purchasing it separately.
- As of November 12, 2025, the product formerly known by the name Deluxe Upgrade Pack is now The Forsaken Hollows DLC. Existing owners of the upgrade pack do not need to purchase it again.
