ASUS Introduces Wi-Fi 7 Gaming Router - ROG Magic Box X
ROG Magic Box X is ASUS's innovative gaming router boasting high-performance hardware and future Wi-Fi 7 standard support. It aims to provide extreme throughput and optimize the conditions of the network for gaming.
Wireless Capability and AI Optimization
Using the new technology of Wi-Fi 7 such as Multi-Link Operation, 4K QAM, and others, the theoretical throughput of the ROG Magic Box X devices is made with the expectation of achieving a total theoretical throughput of 7200 Mbps over the various frequency bands. Further, MediaTek's Filogic AI is applied within the items to observe the network and adjust the configuration as necessary to reduce latency and interference actively. A unique feature of this new system is its exclusive access-granting capacity to provide other ASUS ROG devices such as laptops and handheld consoles the utmost priority over their internet connection.
Core Hardware and Connectivity
Internally, the router is powered by a 1.8 GHz processor and 1 GB of DDR4 RAM. Eight internal antennas manage the signal.
For wired connections, the interface selection includes:
- One WAN port
- One 2.5 Gbps LAN port
- Four 1 Gbps LAN ports
The router also supports LAN aggregation, allowing for increased speeds on wired connections.
