Sharge Flash Drive Pro A Portable SSD and Multi-Utility Hub
Sharge has released a Flash Drive Pro, a portable solid-state drive with multi-utility crafted to be more than just an external storage device with a shell functioning as a USB hub and docking station.
Main Features and Connections
The Flash Drive Pro has been made for portability and versatility, and it measures 90 x 61 x 11 mm. The enclosure houses an exhaustive array of ports and functionalities:
- Integrated Hub: Two USB-A and one USB-C port are included.
- Video Output: An HDMI 2.1 port allows outputting 4K at 144Hz or 8K at 30Hz, sending an image from a laptop to an external monitor.
- Power Delivery: The integral USB-C cable presents up to 100W Power Delivery for inputs and 80W for output to charge devices.
Performance and Cooling
The SSD is built to give a steady performance even under load. The 1 TB and 2 TB versions using SanDisk TLC memory cells achieve data transfer rates of up to 1000 MB/s. To maintain these speeds, the drive features an active cooling setup with a fan capable of reaching 10,000 RPM.
Other Design Features
The Flash Drive Pro has built-in magnets, allowing for easy clamping to a metal case of a laptop or the backside of modern iPhone variants.
