The Game Awards 2025 Reports Record Viewership of 171 Million
Jeff Keeley has divulged the viewer numbers for The Game Awards 2025 and has stated that, once again, the show has transcended all previous highs. The viewership of the event is said to have more than doubled over the last five years, while this year still reflects great growth.
TGA 2025 Viewership by Numbers
Compared to the last year's award show, numbers show growth across the following important metrics:
- Total views were 171 million, an increase of 11%.
- Peak concurrent audience was 4.4 million, an increase of 9%.
- Social media conversations saw a 12% increase.
- Twitch and YouTube co-streamers attracted 23,000, improving by 50%.
In comparison, the show had seen rapid expansion from 85 million views in 2021.
Viewer Discontent and Circumstantial Voicing
Regardless of the record-breaking figures, the overwhelming sentiment from most viewers is one of the show being an utter failure. According to reports, only 15% of all persons watching were fully satisfied with the show, even with several major announcements being made.
Also included in the report were interviews with streamer Ilya Maddison, who mentioned the existence of underground bot networks that can rig viewership numbers to whatever level desired for any online broadcast.
