Acer Updates Swift Go, Aspire, And Swift Edge Laptops With Intel Panther Lake At CES 2026
During CES 2026, Acer refreshed several of its laptop lines with the latest Intel Core Ultra 300 "Panther Lake" processors. The new Swift Go, Aspire, and Swift Edge models are all deemed AI laptops, focusing on different user needs from affordable for multimedia purposes to extreme portability.
Acer Swift Go 14 AI & 16 AI: Budget-Friendly OLED Options
The Swift Go models aim to be cheaper alternatives; they sport full aluminum construction available in 14 and 16 inches.
- Processor: Up to Intel Core Ultra 9 386H.
- Memory/Storage: Up to 32 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1 TB storage.
- Ports: Covering two Thunderbolt 4, two USB Type-A, and one HDMI 2.1 ports.
- Swift Go 16 AI Display: 16-inch OLED display with an option up to 2880 x 1800 resolution at 400 nits, while there is a touch-sensitive 1920 x 1200 option limited to 250 nits.
- Swift Go 14 AI Display: Similar 14-inch OLED options, also with 100% DCI-P3 coverage.
- Battery: 16-inch model with a 70 Wh battery, and a slightly larger 71 Wh for the 14-inch.
- Weights: 1.36 kg (3 lbs) for the Swift Go 16 AI and 1.12 kg (2.5 lbs) for the Swift Go 14 AI.
Acer Aspire 14 AI & 16 AI: Modify for Collaboration and AI
The redesigned Aspire series has put productivity at its focus, with a 180-degree hinge allowing the display to lie completely flat along with a set of AI software working on-device.
- Processor: Intel Core Ultra 9 386H.
- Memory/Storage: Up to 32 GB LPDDR5x RAM, up to a 2 TB M.2 NVMe SSD.
- Display: Inside and OLED options are available. In addition, 14 and 16 inches 16:10 FHD+ (1920 x 1200) displays with a 120 Hz refresh rate are available.
- Webcam: A 1080p IR Webcam with a physical privacy shutter and a triple-mic array.
- AI Suite: These are Acer Intelligence Space for AI management, and together with Acer PurifiedVoice and PurifiedView, they create an enhanced conferencing experience for users.
- Battery: Both have a 65 Whr battery.
Acer Swift Edge 14 AI & 16 AI: The Pinnacle of Portability
And there thee was never a moment when the Swift Edge line seems to compromise its thin, lightweight profile for internal hardware fitting modern standards.
- Chassis: It is made of extremely lightweight aluminum-magnesium alloy for the 14" model weighing only 0.99 kg (2.2 lbs), with an overall thickness of 13.9 mm.
- Processor: Up to Intel Core Ultra 9 386H.
- Memory/Storage: Up to 32 GB of LPDDR5x memory and up to 1 TB of PCIe Gen 4 storage.
- Display: Both sizes provide 120 Hz OLED displays with 100% DCI-P3 coverage, with resolutions up to 2880 x 1800.
- Ports: Two Thunderbolt 4, two USB Type-A, and one HDMI 2.1 port. Notably, no SD or microSD card reader exists.
- Battery: Both the 14-inch and 16-inch models would fly on a 65 Wh battery.
Availability and Price
The Acer Swift Go and Swift Edge models should be available in the second quarter of 2026. The Acer Aspire models should be available in North America around June or July 2026. There is no word on pricing for any of these laptops yet.
