Remedy Entertainment Appoints Former EA Producer as New CEO
Jean Charles Godechon has been selected as the new CEO of Remedy Entertainment according to the official announcement. The appointment comes four months after the departure of former head Tero Virtala who left the studio in October 2025. Godechon will take over his new position starting on March 1.
Jean Charles Godechon moves to Remedy after working at Electronic Arts. He worked at EA as a producer who controlled the development of FIFA Mobile and Battlefield Heroes. His expertise in large scale production will help Remedy during its current expansion period.
Godechon made a commitment to develop the studio's technical and commercial capabilities while keeping its original development style. He stated his intention to preserve what makes Remedy projects distinctive while increasing the value delivered to both players and partners. He considers the studio to be a base which will establish future industry standards.
The appointment has been publicly supported by Sam Lake who serves as Creative Director and created the Max Payne and Alan Wake franchises. Lake expressed confidence that Godechon aligns with Remedy Entertainment's creative vision and long term goals for their upcoming projects.
The Finnish developer reaches its key transition point as it develops its existing franchises and new partnerships.
