MSI Unveils Silent MS C936 Slim Fanless Box PC
MSI introduced the MS C936 low profile mini PC as part of its corporate hardware collection which operates silently during continuous use. The system uses a fanless chassis design which relies on its outer casing to function as a giant passive heatsink for cooling its 10 core processor. The design of this product creates a structure which reduces noise while preventing dust from entering the building which needs to control both elements.
The MS C936 system uses an Intel Core 5 120U processor which has 10 cores that deliver both strong performance and efficient heat management. The internal system architecture enables substantial memory and storage upgrades despite its 29 mm height limitation.
- Memory The system supports two SO DIMM slots which permit users to install up to 96 GB of DDR5 5200 RAM memory which represents the highest memory capacity that this form factor supports.
- Storage The system supports one M.2 slot with PCIe Gen 4 x4 interface and a regular 2.5 inch drive bay to store data.
- Peripheral Expansion The system provides two M.2 connectors with PCIe x1 interface to allow users to connect special internal modules.
The MS C936 features multiple interface ports which enable its use in industrial automation systems digital signage applications and office workstation environments. The rear and front I/O includes
- Video Output The system provides two HDMI 2.0 ports and two USB Type C ports which support DisplayPort Alt Mode as video output options.
- Networking The system provides two Ethernet ports which allow users to create either redundant or isolated network connections.
- USB Ports The system features two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type A ports and two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type C ports plus six USB 2.0 Type A ports.
- Legacy Support The system includes two COM ports which enable users to connect industrial equipment and serial devices.
MSI designed the MS C936 system to function across multiple software platforms. The system supports Windows 11 Windows 10 and multiple Linux distributions. The device delivers dependable performance to both corporate users and industrial workers because its fanless design works better in environments where traditional fan based cooling systems would fail.
MSI has revealed complete hardware specifications but the company has not shared information about when the MS C936 will launch or how much it will cost in retail stores. The company expects to launch its product through B2B channels and specialized hardware retailers because of its market positioning.
