Anbernic RG Rotate Handheld Design Features Mechanical Swivel Style and Aluminum Build With Nintendo 64 Performance

The RG Rotate system marks Anbernic's first design shift after the RG Vita series which serves as its latest product introduction. The device uses a mechanical swivel design which creates a vertical orientation that functions similar to the Motorola FlipOut device. Anbernic official documents state that the handheld device will be released in two different chassis designs which include an Aurora Silver aluminum construction and a Polar Black ABS plastic model.

The manufacturer has not publicly confirmed the internal architecture of the system yet early previews show that the system can support hardware up to Nintendo 64 era video game emulation. The system uses an internal 2,000 mAh battery which enables 10W charging through a 5V/2A input to manage its power requirements. The company markets its product as an MP3 player but it lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack which would allow users to listen to audio through standard headphones. All audio output needs to be handled through the device's top positioned USB Type C port because the device lacks a standard headphone jack.

The device does not support analog audio output yet it still provides essential functions through its microSD card slot which users can use to add more media content and games. The handheld device from Anbernic comes with swappable in line shoulder buttons which the company uses to build its modular interface design. The RG Rotate product serves as a design test for users who need portable devices with distinct industrial design while Anbernic creates its 2026 product line.
