DJI Osmo Pocket 4P Professional Dual Camera System Features Wide Angle Lens Telephoto Zoom and Advanced 4K Video Performance

DJI introduced its new Osmo Pocket 4P which expands the company's portable stabilized camera product range. The 4 series of this professional device includes its second product which directly competes against the Insta360 Luna. The dual camera system of this particular model provides a wide angle lens together with a dedicated telephoto lens according to official DJI press information. The new hardware system enables creators to shift between various focal lengths without experiencing the digital quality loss that compact gimbals usually create.

The primary imaging module uses a full 1 inch sensor to capture high quality wide angle images while the secondary telephoto module provides 3x optical zoom. The dual lens system developed by DJI maintains uniform image quality throughout all zoom levels according to the company. The Osmo Pocket 4P supports 4K video recording at 240 frames per second which enables users to create extremely slow motion videos. The device supports the 10 bit D Log color profile while maintaining dynamic range of 14 stops to enable professional videographers to preserve maximum detail in shadows and highlights during their color grading sessions.

Hasselblad color science integrated into the system improves color accuracy by producing natural and realistic tones which users can experience immediately after installation. The camera comes with 128 GB of built in memory which allows users to store short clips without needing to use external storage devices. The tracking capabilities have been improved with the latest ActiveTrack software designed to keep subjects in focus even during erratic movement. The user interface provides easy operation through its touchscreen display which enables users to change settings while switching between vertical and horizontal filming modes.

The system uses a proprietary 3 axis mechanical gimbal which stabilizes the footage by countering physical movements during recording. The resulting footage achieves a smooth cinematic appearance which digital stabilization techniques fail to achieve. DJs will release the Osmo Pocket 4P during the first three months of 2026 but the company has not given any information about its price or exact release date. This model introduces a major advancement to the pocket series because it enables users to work with dual lenses instead of the traditional single lens design. Content creators and consumers will receive pre order information when production starts to conclude at the end of the year.
