Vivo T5 4G Launches with Massive 7200 mAh Battery and IP69 Protection

Vivo T5 4G Mid Range Smartphone Unveiled With IP69 Rugged Protection and a Massive 7200 mAh Battery For Extreme Durability and Long Battery Life

Vivo is introducing another addition to its range of mid range smart phones and has recently unveiled its T5 4G model. It has been released on the Mexican market for $335 and seems to be aimed at users who value durability and a good battery life over expensive, premium processing power and a powerful build quality. The launch signals another trend of bringing extreme rugged environment protection to the less expensive models and pricing range.

The front of the Vivo T5 4G has a 6.75 inch IPS display. Using an IPS rather than OLED screen helps to prevent pulsing or flickering associated with pulse width modulation, thus reducing the number of users who suffer from an eye strain. Its refresh rate can be pushed up to 120Hz and it is capable of achieving up to 1250 nits of peak brightness at the resolution of 1570x720 pixels. In order to maintain such a powerful hardware component as is the screen of the phone the Vivo T5 4G's has an extreme resistant chassis, bearing the protection rates IP68 and IP69, which not only means that the phone will be able to handle a deep water immersion, but also a high pressure, hot water jet.

The processing power is handled by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 2 4G silicon chipset. The T5 4G comes with 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage space. The battery capacity of the Vivo T5 4G is a beast, 7200 mAh, compared to almost all other modern smartphones that feature 5000 mAh. Moreover the phone supports fast charging at 44W.

The main camera setup consists of a 50 megapixel primary sensor coupled with Vivo's distinctive ring flash that serves as a soft light, useful for portrait photos. The front selfie camera is a 32 megapixel unit. In terms of software, the phone is up to date with Android 16 running atop of OriginOS 6 right out of the box. It also features an integrated infrared sensor to control household electronics, and the capacity for two SIM cards to run at the same time.
