ASUS has announced 2 new additions to its creative monitor lineup with the ProArt Display OLED PA279CDV and PA329CDV. These professional screens pack 4K QD OLED panels featuring 120Hz variable refresh rates and up to 1000 nits of peak brightness. The smaller 26.5 inch model lands on store shelves this month for $699 while the larger 31.5 inch variant arrives in September for $899.
Color accuracy remains the main selling point for target users in video editing and post production. Both screens cover 99% of the DCI P3 color gamut and support true 10 bit color depth to render 1,070,000,000 individual colors. Factory calibration ensures a Delta E color variance of less than 1.5 right out of the box. Colors look remarkably lifelike. Apple users will find a dedicated M Model P3 setting to match macOS color spaces. Software integrations also allow creative professionals to adjust brightness directly through a MacBook keyboard.
OLED displays are often vulnerable to physical damage and permanent image retention. ASUS addressed both issues on these units. A protective anti scratch film covers the front glass, increasing panel hardness to offer 2.5X more scratch resistance than older QD OLED models. To combat burn in, the brand installed an automated care suite. This system dims static logos and taskbars, shifts pixels slightly, and dims the screen automatically when a proximity sensor detects you have walked away from your desk.
Workflow management gets much easier with the integrated hardware. A built in auto KVM switch lets you operate 2 connected computers with 1 mouse and keyboard. Ports are plentiful. You get a Type C port with 96W power delivery, HDMI 2.1, and DisplayPort 1.4 with daisy chain capabilities. There is also a hub with 1 Type C port and 3 Type A ports. The redesigned desk stand takes up 33% less desk space compared to earlier models. Desk clutter is basically gone.
Purchasing either display in supported regions unlocks a 3 month Adobe Creative Cloud subscription. This plan includes popular applications like Photoshop and Premiere Pro. Because each subscription can be redeemed separately, you can schedule your access around your workload. The activation window runs all the way through late 2027, giving you plenty of time to claim the offer.
