ASUS is finally bringing true Tandem RGB OLED panels to premium gaming setups. The company just announced the availability of the ROG Swift OLED PG27UCWM and the PG32UCWM monitors to give PC gamers a major visual upgrade. According to the official ASUS product announcement, these monitors ditch the traditional WOLED panel designs to achieve cleaner colors and sharper text. The smaller model measures 26.5 inches across, while the larger variant gives you 31.5 inches of screen space.
Most OLED monitors on the market suffer from slightly blurry text because of their white subpixel layouts. ASUS fixed this issue. Their True RGB Stripe technology completely omits the white subpixel to keep text edges sharp. This design change also pushes color volume up by 27% even when you crank the display to its maximum brightness. The real selling point here is the dual mode capability. You can run the monitor in 4K resolution at 240Hz for cinematic visual detail, or drop down to FHD resolution at 480Hz for fast competitive shooters. Motion remains incredibly clean thanks to a swift 0.03 millisecond response time.
OLED burn in is a constant worry for anyone spending serious cash on a display. To keep these panels alive, ASUS redesigned the internal power supply using GaNFET technology. This engineering choice reduces waste heat by 35% and drops internal vent temperatures by 10% compared to older designs. It keeps the monitor cool without requiring loud fans. On top of that, the upgraded OLED Care Pro system uses a built in proximity sensor to detect if you step away. If you leave the desk, an auto away timer dims the screen to protect the organic pixels. You can control these settings easily with your mouse using the ASUS DisplayWidget Center software.
Color purists will appreciate the factory calibration reports. Both screens display 1073.7 million colors using true 10 bit depth. They cover 99% of the DCI P3 color space with a Delta E score of less than 2. Black levels look deep and lifelike because the glossy panels comply with VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black standards. Dolby Vision support is also included to make compatible HDR games look realistic. Connecting your PC or console is straightforward. ASUS built in a DisplayPort 2.1a port that supports full 80Gbps bandwidth. There are also 2 HDMI 2.1 ports for console compatibility. Laptop users can connect with a single USB C cable that sends video while delivering 90 watts of power to charge the computer.
You can even control your screen using an AI assistant. By installing the ASUS Display Control tool along with Agent Skill, you can change monitor settings using voice commands. You could tell your assistant to turn on gaming mode, and it will instantly switch the screen to FHD at 480Hz while activating the built in anti flicker tool. For office tasks, a quick request can drop the brightness and adjust the color temperature to 6500K to ease eye strain. The local software translates your voice into direct commands on your PC.
