TCL has launched the flagship Q95K soundbar for premium home theater setups. Developed in partnership with audio specialists Bang and Olufsen, the 11.1.4 channel system delivers 1420 watts of peak power. However, the system is currently only available for purchase in the Chinese market.
The audio package includes a central soundbar unit, a wireless subwoofer, and 2 wireless rear speakers. Together they house 22 individual drivers driven by 12 independent amplifier chips. A MediaTek MT8532 processor manages the signal processing across all channels to support Dolby Atmos and DTS X audio formats. Users can adjust sound profiles in the mobile app through a Beosonic interface developed by Bang and Olufsen.
The frequency range spans from 30 Hz to 20 kHz. The speakers use neodymium magnets and aluminum cones to ensure clear sound. The wireless subwoofer features 2 separate 7 inch drivers positioned facing opposite directions. TCL says this specific layout helps cancel out cabinet vibrations when playing deep bass tones.
The system is built to handle modern gaming consoles. You get 3 HDMI 2.1 ports that support a bandwidth of 48 Gbps. The system easily handles 4K video pass through at 144 Hz along with variable refresh rates and auto low latency mode. It also supports HDMI eARC for simple television connections. Wireless protocols are extensive, providing Wi Fi 6, Bluetooth, Spotify, and Apple AirPlay 2.
An integrated T Chord feature allows the soundbar to sync with the built in speakers of compatible TCL televisions. The application also offers room calibration to tune the audio to your specific living space. If the top model is too expensive, TCL is releasing 2 cheaper alternatives. The Q85K features a 7.1.2 channel layout with 16 speakers and 1180 watts of power. The budget Q75K offers a 7.1.2 layout with 14 speakers and 580 watts of output.
These new audio systems are already shipping. The flagship Q95K is priced at 6999 yuan, which is about 1035 US dollars. The mid range Q85K costs 5999 yuan, or roughly 887 US dollars. Finally, the entry level Q75K retails for 4699 yuan, which translates to around 694 US dollars.
