Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro specs leaked ahead of release
The specs for Xiaomi's upcoming flagship smartphones, the 15 and 15 Pro, have been leaked on the Chinese social media platform Weibo. The leak also revealed details about the camera sensors, bezel thickness, and pricing for several variants.
Xiaomi 15 Pro
If the information is accurate, the Xiaomi 15 Pro will boast a 6.73-inch 2K display with 1.7-1.8mm bezels, a 1-120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 1400 nits, and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. It is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor paired with 16GB of LPDDR5X-4800 RAM. Storage options will range from 256GB to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The device is also rumored to pack a 5400mAh battery with support for 120W wired and 80W wireless charging. The camera setup is said to include:
- Main: OV50N, 1/1.3", 50MP, f/1.4 (fixed aperture)
- Ultrawide: Samsung JN1, 1/2.76", 50MP
- Telephoto: Sony, 1/1.95", 50MP (3x optical zoom)
- Front: 32MP
Other notable features include UWB technology, 5.5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 7 support, Bluetooth 5.4, IP68 water and dust resistance, and the following estimated prices:
- 12GB/256GB: $728-$756
- 16GB/1TB: $866-$893
- Satellite communication variant: $962
Xiaomi 15
The base model is expected to feature a 6.36-inch display with a 1.5K resolution, a 1-120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 1400 nits, and 1.3-1.5mm bezels. It will house a smaller 4800-4900mAh battery with support for 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. The main camera is said to be a 50MP OV50H (1/1.31") sensor, while the telephoto lens will likely be a 50MP Samsung JN1 (1/2.76") with 3x optical zoom. Unlike the Pro model, the Xiaomi 15 is not expected to feature UWB technology. The estimated prices are as follows:
- 12GB/256GB: around $632
- 16GB/1TB: around $756
Other specifications are expected to be similar between the two models.
The Xiaomi 15 series is expected to launch in October.
