Leaked photo shows HUAWEI's triple-folding phone in the wild
A photo of HUAWEI's rumored triple-folding phone has surfaced online, showing the device in the hands of CEO Richard Yu. The image, which appeared on Chinese social media platform Weibo, has fueled speculation about the device's release date and features.
The photo clearly depicts a smartphone rather than a tablet, evidenced by its thin bezels and the distinctive glare along the display's two folding lines. Leaker Digital Chat Station, who previously shared renders of a similar prototype, claims that the device in the photo matches the design seen in earlier leaks. As per the leaker, the phone features two hinges, allowing one-third of the screen to fold inwards and the other two-thirds to fold outwards.
According to the leak, the unfolded display will measure around 10 inches and will house a punch-hole front camera in the top left corner. The phone is rumored to be powered by a Kirin 9000 series processor and could be released before the Mate 70 smartphone, suggesting an October launch window.
