vivo has announced the vivo V40 Lite series, offering both 4G and 5G variants with identical specs and design but differing chipsets.

Both models boast a stunning 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 2400x1080 pixel resolution, a fluid 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 1800 nits, and impressive color coverage: 100% DCI-P3 and 107% NTSC.

Under the hood, the V40 Lite 4G is powered by the Snapdragon 685, while the 5G version features the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2. Both variants offer up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

The triple rear camera system consists of a 50MP Sony IMX882 main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP portrait lens, enhanced by vivo's Aura ring flash. A 32MP front-facing camera handles selfies and video calls.

Both smartphones come equipped with an under-display fingerprint scanner, a USB Type-C port, stereo speakers, IP64 water and dust resistance, Bluetooth 5.0, and Wi-Fi 802.11ac. A 5000mAh battery keeps the devices running, supported by impressive 80W fast charging. Android 14 with Funtouch OS 14 provides the software experience.

The vivo V40 Lite 4G is available in silver, purple, and black color options. It's priced at $218 for the 8GB/128GB model and $238 for the 8GB/256GB configuration. The vivo V40 Lite 5G is offered in silver and black and costs $284 for the 8GB/256GB variant and $250 for the 12GB/256GB model.
