Tesla is boosting its referral program, effectively cutting the Model Y price by $2,000. This move comes alongside other incentives like 0% APR financing, free FSD transfer, and free Supercharging trials, aiming to increase sales in the last quarter of the year.
Doubled Referral Bonuses
Customers purchasing a Model Y, Model 3, Cybertruck, Model X, or Model S using a referral link will receive $2,000 in store credits, applicable towards the vehicle purchase, services, or accessories. This discount is in addition to the existing $7,500 federal tax credit and other applicable incentives.
The bonus for referring customers has also doubled to $1,000. Referrers can earn up to $10,000 in credits, which can be used towards future Tesla purchases, including the upcoming Model Y Juniper, or for FSD purchases and accessories.
Record Sales Expected
With a combination of existing and new promotions, Tesla aims to achieve record sales figures in Q4 2024, ahead of the anticipated Model Y Juniper announcement next quarter. The potential impact of the rumored end to the federal tax credit program remains to be seen, though Tesla's significant reliance on regulatory credits could mitigate the effect.
