The AMD Strix Point platform is finally making its way into more devices, including the Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6, which features the Ryzen AI 7 Pro 360. This slim business laptop seems ideally suited for the 8-core Zen 5 processor.

Following a limited launch of the higher-core-count Ryzen AI 300 series in consumer laptops this summer, the 8-core Ryzen AI 7 Pro 360 marks the expansion of Strix Point into other market segments.

The Ryzen AI 7 Pro 360 delivers good performance in the ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 without overwhelming the cooling system. The laptop achieved a strong overall score of 88% in our review, effectively balancing performance and user experience. This suggests that the Ryzen AI 7 was the right choice for this thin and light business-oriented machine.

Lenovo's decision to skip an AMD-based ThinkPad T14s Gen 5 appears to have been a strategic move to wait for the Strix Point platform. We anticipate seeing the Ryzen AI 7 Pro 360 in more devices soon.
