MWC 2025 in Barcelona is buzzing and Xiaomi has come in large to shake things up. They introduced a full lineup of new hardware, spanning flagship smartphones to lifestyle devices, all made to impress. Here are the highlights from Xiaomi’s announcement.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra Goes Global: For Photography Lovers
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra, previously limited to China, is now making its way to a global audience. This phone means business in the camera department. Picture a quad-camera system affixed to the back, anchored by a giant 1-inch Sony sensor and Leica glass. We're talking enormous detail and great low-light performance, alongside versatile zooming, thanks to a periscope telephoto lens. Getting this beast going is the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, along with a 6000mAh battery and the super-bright AMOLED display that remains visible under direct sunlight.
There is an option for serious photographers too with an optional "Photography Kit Legend Edition" that adds physical controls, a battery grip, and filter attachments to make your phone into a fully capable camera.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is priced from €1,500 and comes in Black, White, and Silver Chrome.
The Global Variant of the Xiaomi 15: Compact Powerhouses
The Xiaomi 15 is designed to go up against the Samsung Galaxy S25, for if you want a powerful phone that isn't too chunky. This ultra-compact flagship crams a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and a triple 50MP camera system into an unexpectedly pocket-based design. However, it still manages to put a 5240mAh cell in it with fast wired and wireless charging. It features a colorful, smooth 6.36-inch AMOLED display, and you can get it in various stylish colors.
The Xiaomi 15 is priced from €999, which puts premium performance into a more compact package.
Seriously Good Sound: Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro and Buds 5 Pro Wi-Fi
Xiaomi are not only about phones, they're not messing around with audio either. The newly announced Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro expand upon their predecessors with upgraded audio — courtesy of dual drivers tuned by Harman. They pledge 8 hours of listening on a charge, and 40 hours overall with the charging case. However, the real innovation is the Wi-Fi Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro. Yes, Wi-Fi earbuds are capable of streaming lossless audio at very high speeds right from compatible phones, taking audio quality to unprecedented heights for wireless buds.
The Xiaomi Buds 5 Pro are priced at €200, while the Wi-Fi version with the innovation costs €230.
Xiaomi Global Expansion: Smartwatches and Fitness
For wearable devices, Xiaomi has announced the global availability of Xiaomi Watch S4 and Smart Band 9 Pro. The Watch S4 is an attractive smartwatch with a good AMOLED screen, multiple health tracking options, and good battery life for €159.99. At a lower €79.90 price point, the Smart Band 9 Pro is a fitness tracker loaded with features for everyday activity tracking — an upgraded display and more accurate health monitoring.
Xiaomi Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro Go Global: Tablets for Work and Play
Xiaomi means business with tablets, too. The Xiaomi Pad 7 series has finally done its global debut, with both the vanilla Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro getting a worldwide announcement. The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 powered Pad 7 Pro is designed for productivity and entertainment, complete with a high-resolution 11.2-inch display and AI-powered tools. It starts at €499.90. At the same time, the standard Xiaomi Pad 7 is a slightly more affordable option, at $399.90 and up, offering the same 144Hz display and Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3 chip for smooth performance.
The Last Mile Mobility: Xiaomi Electric Scooter 5 Max
And in a totally different direction, Xiaomi introduced the Electric Scooter 5 Max. This e-scooter with a 1000W motor, 60km range, and a strong build is an excellent mode of commutation for both claims and fun. It's priced at €599.99.
