Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake Arrives October 30th
The day hasn't just arrived when Square Enix announced Dragon Quest Day; also what has been announced on the very special occasion and indeed much awaited, Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake, is set for release on 30 October. Get prepared to revisit these old storylines in all their glory through reimagined tales made gorgeously in that HD-2D style we've come to love.
The good news doesn't stop there, either. That remake pack will be available on a plethora of platforms, so nearly everyone can get in on the action. It's going to be on PC (by way of Steam and the Microsoft Store), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S|X, and both the Nintendo Switch and the forthcoming Nintendo Switch 2. And all nostalgia-seekers will pay $59.99 for this journey through time.

The confirmation is that Square Enix is riding that wave of excitement. Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake was a major success, even with criticism from both devoted fans and critics. Wccftech's Kai Tatsumoto dubbed it an impressive 8.6 out of 10. He showered compliments on it for the graphical overhaul and said,
"The entire world is brightly colored and blooming with light... the complete reimagining of the adventure makes this feel like a brand new adventure."
