HUAWEI Introduces Qingyun HM940: A New HarmonyOS Laptop

HUAWEI is adding to its HarmonyOS family with a sexier, new laptop, the Qingyun HM940. If you're on the lookout for a device that brings a fantastic touchscreen experience combined with deep integration into HUAWEI's ecosystem, then look no further. What truly has people sitting up and paying attention, however, is its incredibly light build and innovative audio capabilities.

A Display That Dazzles

Let's talk about that screen. The Qingyun HM940 features a 14.2-inch OLED display that's not just for looking – it's also touchscreen. With its unobstructed 3120x2080 resolution and smooth 120Hz refresh rate, images are guaranteed to be crisp and fluid. And it boasts 100% sRGB coverage and an absolute peak brightness of up to 1000 nits, suitable for professional use as well as streaming media.

Under the Hood: Power and Storage

Even if HUAWEI is not announcing what CPU model and integrated graphics chip they're using just yet, we do know a bit about what goes on under the hood. Either 24GB or 32GB of RAM will be available choices, which is plenty enough to have several things going on simultaneously. When it comes to storage, a 512GB or 1TB drive will be available choices.

Incredibly Portable, Impressively Built

One of the best things about the Qingyun HM940 is that it is portable. This laptop is amazingly thin, measuring only 310 x 222 x 13.5 mm. And here's the kicker – it weighs a mere 970 grams. That's under a kilogram, which makes it an amazing travel buddy for those who are always on the go.

The sound quality has not been ignored either. It comes equipped with a HUAWEI Sound speaker system comprising six speakers and four microphones, which provides an engaging sound experience while you are on a call or watching a movie.

Your day is charged by a 70Wh battery, and if you need to top off, the 140-watt fast charging is a blessing. HUAWEI puts the time to top off to 70% at half an hour. The connectivity is also current, with three USB Type-C ports, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 5.2.

Smart Features and Ecosystem Magic

Being a HarmonyOS product, the Qingyun HM940 is all about intelligent convergence. It is equipped with support for the "Super Celia Business AI" package that contains practical apps like a presentation generator, image-to-text scan, and voice control. Tidy and neat.

There's even a neat little feature where the cursor will follow your eyes, blurring from the laptop screen to your HUAWEI smartphone. That's the kind of ecosystem harmony HUAWEI has planned.

Availability. Wait and See.

As for when you can get your hands on the HUAWEI Qingyun HM940 and how much you'll pay for it, HUAWEI isn't giving us that information just yet. We will have to wait for word on the price and release date.
