Lenovo GeekPro Gaming PC Refreshed with New Intel CPUs and Nvidia GPUs

Lenovo has refreshed its GeekPro gaming PC, widely seen abroad as the LOQ Tower series, with a fresh coat of paint and some serious horsepower inside. Just launched in China, this update brings the latest processor and graphics technology to the table.

What's New Under the Hood

The biggest news is the inclusion of bleeding-edge parts. You can spec the new GeekPro with some serious hardware:

  • Processors: Right up to the top-of-the-line Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX (in the Arrow Lake HX series), which boasts a high core count (8 Performance + 16 Efficiency cores) and AI processing capabilities. There is also an adequate Core Ultra 7 255HX option for mid-range and base models.
  • Graphics Cards: Step into the future with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti. Lenovo seems to be using a compact, dual-fan OEM model for this build. For new users, the established Nvidia RTX 3050 is used in the entry-level version.
  • Memory & Storage: Enjoy speedy performance with support for up to 32GB of DDR5-5600 RAM. Storage is taken care of by speedy PCIe 4.0 SSDs (up to 1TB reported), with two M.2 slots available and even a tool-free tray to add a traditional hard drive.

It's not everything about the internals. Lenovo has housed those within an updated 17-liter casing. A welcome finishing touch is the new 3D front panel design, which cleverly conceals the air vents for a much neater appearance. There are also whispers of an improved internal air duct system, designed to keep the system cool while allegedly keeping the fans quiet.

Plenty of Ports

Connectivity is rich. You're receiving a nicely balanced mix of newer and legacy ports, including:

  • Front: USB-C (speeded up 3.2 Gen 2x2) and USB-A (3.2 Gen 2)
  • Back: A mix of USB 3.2 Gen 1 & Gen 2 Type-A, USB 2.0 Type-A, HDMI 2.1, multiple DisplayPort 2.1 outputs, and Gigabit Ethernet.

Configurations and What to Expect

In China, the platform launched first with a limited number of levels, starting from around $900 USD equivalent for the Core Ultra 7 / RTX 3050 model and reaching as much as just over $1,375 USD equivalent for the flagship Core Ultra 9 / RTX 5060 Ti option at 32GB of RAM and with a 1TB SSD. It is powered by an efficient 500W 80 Plus Platinum power supply.

Though already present in China, look out for this system globally – it will surely make an appearance as the next generation, probably called the Lenovo LOQ Tower Gen 10.
