And for fans of the breathable suspension band on headsets like the G733 or SteelSeries Arctis models, yay – it's returning.

One of the biggest upgrades with the G522 is the fact that it has Bluetooth. That is a big plus. Where the G733 was only supported by a USB dongle for PC and PlayStation, the G522 now lets you pair directly to your phone, tablet, or other Bluetooth device. This makes it a much more convenient headset for all of your audio needs.
And battery life – huge jump there as well. The G733 was approximately 29 hours, but the G522 gets as much as 60 hours of play time (with the RGB off). That's more than double the stamina.
Sound Quality You Can Count On
Beneath the hood, the G522 uses Logitech's tried-and-tested Pro-G audio drivers, offering synchronized 48 kHz/24-bit audio. The sound profile is expected to be balanced, just like its predecessor. This means it should perform well for gaming, movie watching, or even streaming and broadcasting.
For effective communication, the headset has a detachable full-bandwidth mic compatible with Blue Voice tech. Through the G Hub app, you can even wear filters on to change the tone of your voice or quiet down ambient noise – such a hassle-free feature for sharp comms with your team or audience.
Availability and Pricing
The Logitech G522 is heading to European retailers for around €169, with the pricing for other territories to be revealed. It's launching in classic black and white and is part of Logitech's G5 line of gaming peripherals.
