Motorola Razr 60 Arrives in India: A New Foldable Experience

Motorola is officially launching its foldable experience in India with the Razr 60. This new flip is now finally available for Indian consumers with its global launch occurring alongside Razr 60 Ultra a month ago. So what all this stylish foldable pack you and how much would it empty your pockets.

Familiar Design, Fresh Colors

If you have seen the previous generation Razr, you'd find the overall design quite familiar with the new Razr 60. But Motorola is infusing new life into this with three Pantone-validated color choices-Pantone Gibraltar Sea, Pantone Spring Bud, and Pantone Lightest Sky. This is for some aesthetics needed to inject life on any dull day.

Two screens are included: an unfolded 6.96 OLED panel, generous in its own right. The relatively sharp 2640 x 1080 pixel resolution is complemented by a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and 3,000 nits peak brightness-an impressive feat in itself, rendering the display usable even under glaring light. For those interactions outside, the cover display offers a handy 3.63-inch AMOLED. This screen has a 90Hz refresh rate and brightness up to 1700 nits, which comes perfectly handy for notifications and quick interactions.

Under The Hood: MediaTek Power And Android 15

This time around, for its latest flip phone, Motorola has opted for MediaTek to be the chipset of choice. The Razr 60, powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7400X processor, is paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage, which should handle day-to-day tasks and even casual gaming quite handily.

On the software-side, the Razr 60 runs Android 15 out of the box. Motorola is also pledging good long-term support with a commitment to three major OS updates (which will take you from Android 16 through to 18) and four years of security patches. Such commitment will come as a warm welcome to buyers.

Camera, Battery, and Other Notables

The primary feature is a 50MP camera. Although not much has been said about other lenses, this main one should be good enough for most people. Selfies will be offered by a 32MP camera.

The battery has seen a minor upgrade to 4,500 mAh from 4,200 mAh from the previous generation. The Razr 60 supports wired charging at 30W, and also includes wireless charging at 15W.

In terms of dimensions, it measures 171.3 x 73.9 x 7.2 mm and weighs nearly 188 grams. The phone comes with other important specifications such as side-mounted fingerprint security assurance, IP48-rated dust and water-resistant assurance, Dolby Atmos stereo speakers for enhanced audio pleasure, and NFC for contactless payments.

Pricing and Availability in India

Getting pricing-related insights, the Motorola Razr 60 is priced at INR 49,999 for the only 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model. This equates to about $585 or €515. If someone is really interested in grabbing it, in India, it will be available for purchase from June 4 onwards. It can be bought from the Motorola official website(Link above), Flipkart, and other authorized retail stores.
