OnePlus Reportedly Developing Apple-Inspired Feature for OxygenOS 16
We all heard Google is brewing some new UI updates for Android 16. However, it seems single phone manufacturers are also hard at work brewing their own thrilling tech. The latest chatter. OnePlus could be stealing a fairly awesome trick from Apple's book for its upcoming OxygenOS 16.
A Dynamic Way to Follow Sports
According to reports by outlets like Android Authority, OnePlus is working on a feature similar to iPhone's "Dynamic Island." Imagine this: a tidy, interactive area up top on your screen in OxygenOS 16, explicitly designed to show live scores of live sports matches. That would result in OnePlus fans potentially being able to watch a game in real-time without needing to open an app continuously or fiddle with a widget.
If you own an iPhone, you might already know how this works. Since iOS 16.1, the Dynamic Island can also expand to display you the live score if there is a game in progress. A long press can even display a longer scoreboard. It's a very handy way to stay in touch without interrupting your flow.
When Can We Get This
The word on the street is that this new feature of interest is going to arrive in OxygenOS 16. For Android 16 proper, Google is said to announce its new mobile OS on or about May 13th, most likely at their Google Android Show event.
So, if you're one of those OnePlus fans and a sports fan, this is something you should be looking out for. It could very well place a very useful and sleek feature in your hands.
