Voice Behind Assassin's Creed Hints at Game Remake
The long-talked-about remake of Assassin's Creed Black Flag seems almost sure now, thanks to Matt Ryan, who gave the voice to the game's lead, Edward Kenway. Ryan, also seen as John Constantine, let some news slip while talking to a fan at a recent event.
A Tip from Edward Kenway Himself
While Ryan was signing things, he told a fan out of the blue about the old game:
Did you finish the game? Well, you might need to do it again. There's a good reason, but I can't talk about it right now.
Game Making and Studio Work
Talks of a Assassin's Creed Black Flag remake popped up two years ago. It was told that Ubisoft planned to up-to-date this 2013 game. It was also shared that Ubisoft Singapore, who made Skull and Bones, would help out the Montréal team. This team help fits, as Black Flag's ship fights greatly shaped Skull and Bones.
Guesses on Release Time and Hold-ups
In October 2024, insider Tom Henderson shared that the remake was moving faster than first thought. He said Ubisoft had plans to put out the Black Flag remake in November 2025. Yet, the push of Assassin's Creed Shadows to February 2025 might slide the new release to 2026.
Chance of an Official Word
With Matt Ryan now kind of talking about it, a real word could be near. People think it might show up at a big Ubisoft event, or maybe around big events like Gamescom Opening Night Live or The Game Awards in December 2025.
