24 Entertainment, the group that made the free game NARAKA: BLADEPOINT, and NetEase Games, said they are making "Blood Message." This new game is a single-player, story-heavy action game, shown with an exciting trailer.
Zhipeng Hu, Head Producer and VP at NetEase, said, "We're bringing players a new time of big adventure with Blood Message. As our first game all about one player at NetEase Games we plan to give a truly big and movie-like experience."
Blood Message happens near the end of the Tang dynasty in China. Players act as a messenger caught in the Dunhuang rise. The main goal is to make a dangerous 1,000-mile trip back to Chang'an, the capital. This trip will make them face risky spots like deserts in East and Central Asia, fight in hold-outs, and beat hard land.
The game will share tales of "unsung heroes" normal folks with great will, not kings or army leaders. It follows a father and son from Shazhou, caught in the Dunhuang rise, torn between duty to the nation and love for family. 24 Entertainment says Blood Message will stick to a straight, story-led form with a big focus on movie-like telling.
Players can look forward to full-on fights that mix hiding and staying alive tricks. The makers call Blood Message a very moving trip touching on family, honor, giving up things, and cultural roots. The game will have big areas based on real places in East and Central Asia, like Dunhuang.
Blood Message is being made for PC and game machines with Unreal Engine 5, made better by 24 Entertainment's own tech. They haven't said yet when it will come out.
