Intel is starting to stop making its first set of Arc Alchemist graphic cards(1, 2). The firm has said the End of Life (EOL) for some desktop and mobile types, showing a change as new models come out. This step happens less than three years after they first came out in October 2022.
From Product Change Notices (PCNs) on Intel's site, some big Alchemist GPUs are on the list:
- Arc A750: This card will have its last order date near the end of June 2025, with the final ones sent out by late September 2025. (Exact dates may vary in PCNs).
- Arc A770: The last orders for this model are planned by mid-November 2025, with the final ones going out by about May 20th, 2026. This lets partners order more and sell off what they have.
Some mobile Arc Alchemist GPUs are also ending. These are:
- A350M
- A370M
- A530M
- A570M
- A730M
- A770M
Right now, the Arc A380 and A580 desktop models don't have set EOL dates. But with the newer Battlemage series out, it looks like the last of the Alchemist cards may stop being made soon. Many Alchemist GPUs are hard to find, hinting at an informal end.
The Arc Alchemist series was Intel's big move back into the tough discrete GPU market, taking on AMD and NVIDIA. Although Alchemist didn't get the broad success Intel wished for, the firm is still keen to make stronger graphics gear for gamers. Even though the following Battlemage series got mixed feedback, Intel is looking forward to its Xe3-based Celestial GPUs with hopes to offer a stronger option in the future.
